Our laboratories are specialized in physical, chemical and microbiological testing for the footwear, leather and synthetic leather industry. Our test procedures include tests for wear, strength, endurance, dimensional stability, hardness, and ageing. For the footwear industry, we can test specific parameters including adhesion of outsole, dynamic stability of heel, and abrasion resistance of outsole.
In cooperation with brands we develop in-house test methods to verify specific performance parameters.
As an independent service provider, we issue quality certifications and test marks, to communicate your achievements. As a footwear authority, we advise brands and manufacturers on matters relating to statutory requirements, substances posing a possible hazard to health, and preventative measures.
PFI supports the Zero Discharge of Hazardous Chemicals (ZDHC) initiative and became an accepted laboratory for testing according to ZDHC Wastewater Guidelines.
We are proud to conduct testing and submit data on behalf of suppliers to the ZDHC Gateway – Wastewater Module.
